A Message From Tom

Are you are seeking an attorney to assist you with resolving some legal issue you cannot handle yourself? Remember, your attorney works for you; you do not work for your attorney. In that regard you should not be afraid to speak with your attorney.

We want to hear your story. That is why we offer a free consultation. We want to help you resolve your problem. We do not want you to be afraid to tell us what is going on for you or to be afraid to ask a question. It is your life. It is too important not to feel free to talk about it.

Our policies are built to create an attorney-client relationship that is free from worry. That is why we place great emphasis on spending time with our clients. If we represent you, we will make being available to you a priority. We will provide you with honest answers to your questions, and will do so in a way that is easy for you to understand.

Our clients can be secure knowing that they can ask questions, get answers and discuss legal issues — to sit, cry, talk, laugh and pray— and, most of all, to get real answers from an someone who serves them like they are friends and family.

We seek to provide a holistic approach to the legal problem. We try to take into consideration the whole of our client’s life situation, not just a narrow focus on the legal issue at hand. We take this approach because the immediate legal issue does have consequences that will impact on the other areas of life. Sometimes, the best legal strategy is not always the best life strategy. We want our clients to resolve their issues in the best way possible; to walk away with a fresh start, feeling secure about tomorrow.

If matters can be resolved without a lawyer's help, we believe in telling our clients so. We speak openly about the most cost-effective means to resolving the matter — even if that means resolving it without our representation. The truth is that sometimes hiring a lawyer can create more problems than it resolves.

We have dedicated our practice to the Lord as a ministry, and as such it is God-centered. We provide Bible-based counseling where desired. As a God-centered ministry we are here to help and guide as a servant-leader. We do not judge but to offer compassion and grace along with knowledge of the law. The Lord does not want our hour or so of worship each week; He wants our every hour. We seek to honor Him with our work.

I am often asked how I can practice certain areas of law yet have a God-center practice; isn't it somewhat of a conflict?” The answer is not at all! First, we must be true to the Lord in that we must diligently act within the scope of the law and its procedures. The law provides for various forms of relief and protection. It is not inconsistent to seek that relief or protection by use the law when appropriate. When we act faithfully, we allow the Lord to work with us. The Lord will not bless lies, half-truths or malicious or vengeful actions. He blesses truth and obedience. Second, we must trust Him to work in us and in others so that the truth may be revealed. Third, we must rely on Him to deliver us in truth from our enemies and us against them.

There is HOPE. While you may be going through one of the most difficult times in your life, you are not alone. We must believe what God says is true, that He would never leave us or forsake us. [Hebrews 13:5 ESV] The Lord said in Isaiah:

2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. [Isaiah 43:2-3 ESV]

28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. [Romans 8:28 ESV]

So, take courage and together we will work to resolve your problem.
